Rhee Yun-seok

Captain Rhee Yun-seok is a Republic of Korea Army officer serving as Director of Security for the classified ROK research laboratory that hosts Doctor Yang's program. He is short, with close-cropped black hair, stuck at captain's rank well past the normal promotion timeline, and he compensates with a traditionalist air of authority and a habit of picking imaginary lint from his shoulders while lecturing subordinates. He bristles at the American security vulnerability report Harper files and leverages his political connections to have Harper dismissed from the assessment. Arrogant toward women and foreigners, fond of dominance games, and quietly drunk on his way back to the lab in the evenings, he is in fact actively collaborating with North Korean special operators inside his own facility.
